Sync Not Working

marinaid uses iCloud to sync recipes across your devices. If sync isn’t working, the issue is usually with iCloud rather than the app itself.

Check iCloud is enabled

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Tap your name → iCloud.
  3. Scroll down and make sure marinaid is toggled on.

Repeat on every device that should be syncing.

Check you’re signed into the same Apple ID

Sync only works between devices using the same Apple ID. Go to Settings → your name to confirm the Apple ID matches on all your devices.

Wait a moment

iCloud sync can take up to a few minutes, especially on first launch or after a long time offline. Open marinaid, pull down to refresh, and wait 30–60 seconds.

Force a sync

  1. In marinaid, go to Account.
  2. Tap Sync Now (or pull down on the recipe list to refresh).

Check your internet connection

iCloud requires an active internet connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular to rule out a network issue.

Restart the app

Close marinaid completely (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopen it. iCloud sync runs automatically on launch.

Restart your device

A device restart clears most transient iCloud sync issues.
