App Crashes or Won't Open
Update to the latest version
Section titled “Update to the latest version”Most crashes are fixed in the latest version. Open the App Store and check if an update is available. Install it and try again.
Force close and reopen
Section titled “Force close and reopen”- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button) to open the app switcher.
- Swipe up on marinaid to close it.
- Tap marinaid to reopen it.
Restart your device
Section titled “Restart your device”Hold the side button and a volume button → slide to power off. Wait 30 seconds, then power back on. This clears temporary system issues that can cause app crashes.
Check available storage
Section titled “Check available storage”If your device is nearly full, apps can crash unpredictably.
- Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
- If storage is below 1 GB, free up space by deleting unused apps or photos.
Reinstall marinaid
Section titled “Reinstall marinaid”If the crash persists, try reinstalling:
- Delete marinaid from your device (long-press the icon → Remove App).
- Open the App Store and reinstall marinaid.
- Sign back in with your iCloud account — your recipes will sync back automatically.
Send a crash report
Section titled “Send a crash report”When marinaid crashes, iOS captures a crash log. To send it to us:
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data.
- Find a log starting with
marinaidand share it with support@marinaid.app.
