App Crashes or Won't Open

Update to the latest version

Most crashes are fixed in the latest build. Open TestFlight and check if an update is available. Install it and try again.

Force close and reopen

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button) to open the app switcher.
  2. Swipe up on marinaid to close it.
  3. Tap marinaid to reopen it.

Restart your device

Hold the side button and a volume button → slide to power off. Wait 30 seconds, then power back on. This clears temporary system issues that can cause app crashes.

Check available storage

If your device is nearly full, apps can crash unpredictably.

  1. Go to SettingsGeneraliPhone Storage.
  2. If storage is below 1 GB, free up space by deleting unused apps or photos.

Reinstall marinaid

If the crash persists, try reinstalling:

  1. Delete marinaid from your device (long-press the icon → Remove App).
  2. Open TestFlight and reinstall marinaid.
  3. Sign back in with your iCloud account — your recipes will sync back automatically.

Send a crash report

When marinaid crashes, iOS captures a crash log. To send it to us:

  1. Go to SettingsPrivacy & SecurityAnalytics & ImprovementsAnalytics Data.
  2. Find a log starting with marinaid and share it with support@marinaid.app.

Or simply email us at support@marinaid.app describing what you were doing when the crash happened — the more detail, the better.
