Importing Recipes
MarinAid can import recipes from websites, social media posts, and even photos of handwritten recipe cards.
From a website URL
- Copy the recipe URL from your browser.
- Open MarinAid and tap the + button.
- Tap Import from URL and paste the link.
- MarinAid parses the page and extracts the recipe automatically.
From Safari or another app (Share Sheet)
- While viewing a recipe in Safari, Instagram, TikTok, or any app, tap the Share button.
- Select MarinAid from the share sheet.
- The recipe is imported directly into your library.
From a photo
- Tap the + button and select Import from Photo.
- Take a photo of a recipe card, cookbook page, or screenshot.
- MarinAid uses on-device OCR to read the text and structure it as a recipe.
Supported sites
MarinAid supports thousands of recipe websites. It works best with sites that use structured recipe data (JSON-LD or Microdata). Most popular recipe blogs and cooking sites are supported.
After import
Review the imported recipe — you can edit the title, ingredients, instructions, servings, and more before saving.
