Recipe Notes & Ratings

After cooking a recipe, you can leave feedback to help yourself (and your household) remember what worked and what to adjust next time.

  1. Open the recipe you just cooked.
  2. Tap the star rating below the recipe title.
  3. Select 1 to 5 stars.

Your rating is visible to anyone in your household who shares the recipe.

If you finish a cooking session without rating the recipe, Marinaid may send you a reminder notification (“How was it? Add a rating in Marinaid”) so it doesn’t get forgotten.

  1. Open the recipe and scroll to the Notes section.
  2. Tap Add Note.
  3. Write your thoughts — “Needed 5 more minutes in the oven” or “Kids loved this one.”
  4. Tap Save.

Notes are timestamped and sync across your devices.

Every time you finish a cooking session, Marinaid logs it. Tap Cook History on the recipe to see a timeline of when you’ve made it, alongside the notes and rating from each time.

  • Use notes to track substitutions you made so you remember next time.
  • Rate recipes after cooking them — over time, you’ll build a clear picture of your household favorites.
  • Notes, ratings, and cook history sync automatically via iCloud, so your household members see them too.
